The first grade students have been working on understanding what a membrane is. The easiest way to remember it, is it's just like our skin. A membrane protects bad things from going inside and lets things like water travel in! We used a raisin to see if water really does travel through a membrane! Look at what we found! We broke open our raisin and look at all that water! Water can travel through a membrane!
